Dr. Robert DevrnjaRobert Devrnja, MD, FACFE

Dr. Devrnja is a graduate of UAG with his post-doctoral training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.  He has done a research fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and attended the University of Tennessee’s (PEMBA) Physician Executive MBA program in Knoxville.  He has practiced Emergency Medicine since 1984, and the founder of two successful ER companies. Dr. Devrnja is also the Chairman and CEO of Hospital Holdings, LLC.  and a Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners. He and his wife reside in Knoxville, TN with their two sons.




Edith Devrnja, RNEdith Devrnja, RN

Edie Devrnja graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a degree in Nursing.  Prior to working at ERx, Edie was a Captain in the Air National Guard as a flight nurse in Desert Storm, and has worked as a staff nurse in various ED’s.  She assists with contract startups and is the Corporate Compliance Officer.  Edie resides with her husband, two sons and two dogs in Knoxville, TN.






Amanda Meade

Amanda is a member of the ERx scheduling team. Amanda graduated from Bluefield State College with a BA in Social Science. She has been assisting healthcare professionals since 2007. Amanda loves spending time with her spouse and two children. When she is not working, Amanda spends her free time watching football, basketball, baseball, and any sport on ESPN.






Dr WheelisMike Wheelis, MD

Mike Wheelis, MD is our ER Director of Education and Quality Assurance.  Dr. Wheelis graduated from Louisiana State University and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. He has many years of experience as a medical director for emergency departments across the Southeast and is a past President of the Mississippi ACEP.  






Angie Wilson

Angie Wilson is a recruiter for ERx. She recruits for physician positions at several of the ERx facilities. Angie is married and has one son. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, working on crafts, and cooking.






Shannon Smith 

Shannon is the billing coordinator for ERx. She is responsible handling many financial aspects as well as insurance needs. Shannon has extensive experience in healthcare operations as well as the reimbursement/ revenue cycle, physician and facility coding and billing, A/R management, denials management & AR recovery.  She a Knoxville native with her husband and 2 children. A Vol for life! When she is not cheering on her team, Shannon spends her free time reading, catching up on the newest movies & tv shows.





Tiffany2 (3)Tiffany Behrmann

Tiffany is the bookkeeper for ERx. She handles payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for all of our hospital locations. With over 20 years of experience in accounting, she has a diverse background, and is always willing to make changes to improve the process. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her daughter and her two dogs, and enjoys crafts and music.






Jessica Kunkler

Jessica is a member of the ERx scheduling team and is responsible for all of our Washington sites. She has been assisting healthcare professionals since 2012 with their scheduling and administrative needs. Before working in healthcare, she worked in Hospitality and Management. Each career choice had a common theme that includes working together and connecting with people. She can easily say that her connection with others is what she enjoys most about physician staffing. She currently lives in Ohio with her husband and two daughters, and loves to vacation and slow things down from time to time to spend quality time with her family.



Dr Paula Silha

Dr. Silha graduated medical school from the University of Washington School of Medicine and spent the first eleven years of her career working in emergency departments in Spokane, WA. In 2011, while continuing to care for patients in the Emergency Department, she took on the position of Vice President of Quality Control and Regional Director for Coast to Coast Healthcare.  Dr. Silha joined the ERx team in February of 2016 continuing in her role as Regional Director. In addition to her work with ERx, Dr. Silha works as clinical faculty for the WWAMI program with University of Washington School of Medicine. Her leisure time includes spending time with her two adult children and spouse of 32 years and many hobbies including tennis, back packing, hiking, international traveling, teaching and volunteering at the homeless clinic in Spokane.
